글쓰기의 힘 the power of writing

 

책을 꼼꼼하게 읽고 글을 쓰고 나누는 시간들 안에서 깊어짐을 느낀다. 

책읽는 방법이 이런 것이었구나, 독서 나눔을 위해 짜내고 짜내는 시간들이 모여서 글을 보고 작가의 마음을 느끼려고 해본다. 글을 읽고 내 생각을 정리하는 그 과정들이 땅을 파내는 느낌과 비슷하다. '예쁜 꽃과 돌이 있네'에서 머물러 있다가 '그럼 땅 속에는 뭐가 있길래 이렇게 아름다운 꽃을 피우지'에 대한 물음으로 시작하는 디깅!

어제는 유연성과 혁신에 글을 쓰고 나만의 혁신내용들을 쓰고 돌아서는데! 아ㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏ! 하는 깨달음이 왔다.

'찬란한 멸종'이라는 게 이런거구나!!!

유연성과 혁신을 통해 찬란하게 다시 태어 나는 멸종!

그간 나는 '찬란하다'하는 말에 반감이 있었다. 다양한 생명체가 멸종을 맞이하며 얼마나 슬프고 마음 아프게 죽어가는 데 작가는 너무 멸종에 대한 내용을 미화하고 있는건 아닌지에 대한 물음이 있었다. 

그런데, 유연하게 변화에 대응하며 새로움을 받아들이는 혁신을 통해서 다시 태어날 수 있다면 그거야 말로 찬란하고 또 찬란한 (더한 표현이 있다면 해주고 싶다)멸종이 아닌가!하는 생각이 불현듯 들었다. 

이것이야 말로 책을 깊이 읽고 내 삶에서 어떻게 적용할 수 있을지에 대한 고민에서 나오는 깨달음이 아닌가. 디깅하듯 책읽기! 독서모임을 통해 오늘도 배우고 깨닫는다. 

As I spend time reading books thoroughly, writing, and sharing my thoughts, I feel myself deepening.

This is what reading a book truly means—I squeeze out every bit of insight for book discussions, trying to see through the author's words and grasp their heart. The process of reading and organizing my thoughts feels like digging into the ground. At first, I only notice, "Oh, there are beautiful flowers and stones here," but then I start wondering, "What lies beneath the soil that allows such beautiful flowers to bloom?"

Digging begins with that very question!

Yesterday, I wrote about flexibility and innovation, jotting down my own ideas on innovation. And then—Ahhhhhhh! A sudden realization hit me.

"Brilliant extinction"—this is what it means!!!

Extinction that is brilliantly reborn through flexibility and innovation!

Until now, I had a sense of resistance to the word brilliant in this context. After all, extinction is a painful process—countless living beings perish, and the thought of glorifying that seemed unsettling.

But then, it struck me: if we can adapt flexibly to change, embrace innovation, and be reborn in the process, isn’t that truly a brilliant, dazzling extinction? (If there's an even stronger expression, I’d love to use it!)

This, I realize, is the essence of deep reading—digging into a book, reflecting on how to apply it to my own life, and uncovering profound insights.

Reading like digging! Through my book club, I continue to learn and discover every day.
